Description
Responsible for compliance management of assigned area of responsibility within Real Estate Lending. Fully knowledgeable of assigned product / functional area and have a thorough understanding of their area of responsibility as well as a broad understanding of the entire compliance function. Assist management in ensuring that business is being conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations and internal procedures, keeps abreast of new products, technologies and applications as well as their implications for assigned areas. Expected to assist in developing compliance policy and providing support to the business units with respect to business developments and enhancing engagement of compliance by the business. In conjunction with management, may develop, recommend and/or execute business plans for area of responsibility. Responsible for the direction and training of subordinate staff. Allocates and coordinates resources and handles personnel related issues within parameters of firm and compliance department policy.
Qualifications
* Expert understanding of regulatory compliance requirements associated with mortgage lending
* Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited college or university
* Advanced degree or compliance related professional certification preferred
* Understanding of risk assessment, control design and risk mitigation processes
