Functional Compliance Responsibilities - Privacy & Data Security, Anti-Money Laundering & Trade Sanctions (OFAC)
 
Responsible for the effective development, refinement and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and controls associated with (1) state and federal privacy and data security, (2) federal Anti-Money Laundering, and (3) federal Trade Sanction (OFAC) regulations and legislation.
 
This role will support all Marsh U.S. Consumer (Affinity and High Net Worth) business channel operations, functions and colleagues and will work in conjunction and support of the Marsh Global Compliance organization.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
A.  Privacy

    * Develop, document and manage privacy and data security policies for US Consumer products and/or business channels;
    * Maintain and update privacy risk assessment/gap analysis and framework annually, implementing required policy and procedural changes as appropriate;
    * Maintain and update privacy procedures and "rules and tools" to implement privacy and data security policies in Consumer's operations and/or business channels;
    * Design, document and implement appropriate privacy controls and metrics as appropriate, coordinating with Consumer Compliance Monitoring for periodic testing of business segments;
    * Implement (may include design of content) of enterprise-wide privacy and data security awareness activities, training, and related materials;
    * Identify and assess external factors (legislation, regulation, client requirements) that may impact privacy and data protection policies/standards and procedures and effectively manage these changes within the US Consumer businesses;
    * Engage with the business in the review/approval of vendors (and associated contracts) if vendors process "personally identifiable information";
    * Support successful completion privacy and data security information for carrier audits;
    * Manage Privacy Incident Response process
    * Maintain US Consumer Compliance website information with up-to-date Privacy & Data Security information;
    * Coordinate with Compliance, Consumer Audit and MMC Audit & Control Audit as required.

B.  Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Trade Sanctions/OFAC

    * Using the established Marsh Global Compliance Group (GPAG) procedures as a framework, develop, document and manage AML and Trade Sanctions policies and procedures for US Consumer products and/or business channels;
    * Coordinate with Marsh Global Partners Analysis Group (GPAG) to facilitate an annual update of Marsh's AML and Trade Sanctions compliance risk assessment, implementing required GPAG mandated policy and procedural changes as appropriate;
    * Ensure U.S. Consumer colleagues and/or required third parties complete required AML and Trade Sanctions training;
    * Maintain US Consumer Compliance website information with up-to-date AML and Trade Sanctions/OFAC policies and procedural information (as provided by GPAG);
    * Implement (may include design of content) of AML awareness activities, training, and related materials.
    * Manage AML "red flags incidents" per established Marsh GPAG protocols
    * Screen OFAC/Trade Sanctions database client matches to determine legitimacy of the data match, immediately elevating any potential issue to GPAG;

    * Demonstrated experience in managing integrated business processes
    * Excellent analytical, communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
    * Privacy and regulatory compliance experience preferred, but not required
    * Existing knowledge of the U.S. Consumer organization and operations (or equivalent insurance background) preferred
    * A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
