The incumbent's job is to grow Trust revenues and profits in the geographic markets within the assigned Region. This involves developing and carrying out a strategic plan for business development, increasing referrals from existing clients, bank officers, and others; providing leadership and mentoring to account managers and other team members serving these markets; interfacing with clients, prospects, and the community to enhance the bank's image and grow market share. The incumbent will integrate market knowledge, product, and risk assessment expertise to upgrade services to existing clients and convert prospects into long-term profitable clients. Job Responsibilities: . Develop department's strategic and profit plans by analyzing trends in department expenses, fees and departmental strengths and weaknesses. Develop objectives, strategies and tactics, assign accountable parties and due dates. . Serve on product committees to develop new products and services to enhance primary client relationships and create referrals for other trust, investment, and banking services. . Ensure client relationship management to achieve a high degree of client satisfaction, legal compliance, and profitability; ensure periodic client relationship reviews are conducted, ensure strategies are consistent with client's goals and needs. . Supervise designated team members assuring the activities and responsibilities of the position are met, provide an evaluation of the team member's responsibilities in an annual performance review. . Recommend additions and/or changes to policies and procedures affecting the targeted markets; review, approve and direct required daily administrative functions in accordance with the governing document or client written requests or instructions; ensure the investment portfolios are in compliance with our clients' investment policy, laws, policies, procedures, regulations and rulings governing trust services; ensure that all accounts are billed in accordance with established fee schedule and collected; review Trust and Investment prospects that are presented to bank for acceptance as Trustee or Successor Trustee. . Supervise all regional tax filings (1099's, pension reporting and fiduciary returns) and ensure that deadlines to IRS and individual clients are met. . Ensure adherence to all regulations and to all internal policies and procedures. Chair Regional Trust Administrative Committees and report to the Fiduciary Oversight Committee . Keep informed of legislation and regulatory rulings/changes and assess their impact on clients and others; communicate changes in law and regulation to appropriate parties. . Develop/maintain visibility in the Trust and Investment Management Communities; Participate in activities that promote the Bank as an active supporter of community goals and interests and provide long-term business opportunities. . Other duties as assigned by supervisor Basic Qualifications: . Bachelor's Degree . 10 years of Financial Services experience . 5 years of banking trust management experience . 2 years of Supervisory experience Preferred Qualifications: . CPA, CFP, or equivalent designation . Extensive experience with trust, investment and retirement products, trust instruments, other legal documents and tax returns
