IT Technical Lead Job Details

Level: Manager



The Technical Lead will oversee key aspects of the delivery cycle supporting the Acquisitions Value Chain. The technical lead is accountable for the quality and efficient delivery of all efforts flowing through the team. The delivery model for the team consists of development provided by a vendor partner in a combination onshore/offshore model.



Responsibilities:



- Engage with Acquisition platform development teams and integrated project teams
- Hold design and code review sessions with an expectation of ensuring quality designs in-line with corporate and departmental architecture
- Lead the delivery team in overcoming delivery barriers. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

- Prioritize work across projects/enhancements/production support

- Contributes to and implements standards and changes to systems and processes. May assist in performing process quality and compliance audits. Support enterprise-wide compliance with enterprise standards, processes and policies.

- Work closely with partner testing group to ensure all efforts are appropriately tested and that the testing team has what they need from the development team

- Oversee allocation of delivery team resources to help support teams troubleshoot and resolve production incidents

- Participate in new capability scoping/estimation



Basic Qualifications:



- Bachelor's Degree
- Background in software design and development
- Experience with Java/Weblogic/XML



Preferred:



- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or another technical area which provides analysis and programming experience

- 2 Years experience in Team lead or manager

- 5 Years experience in IT Development

- Experience with Oracle RDBMS systems

- Experience with Agile and/or LEAN software development methodologies
- Experience in integrating new capability development into operational processes.
- Excellent communication skills
