As an Intern, you'll interact with our finance leaders in our fast-paced environment. You'll learn how our people use our ‘test-and-learn' approach to drive innovation. What You Can Expect: • Training - Comprehensive onboarding, including soft skills development balanced with key analysis skills • Executive speakers - Senior executives and managers offer regular lectures on timely, relevant topics • Team-building activities - Group projects and social events encourage valuable team-building skills • Project presentations - Associates from various areas of Capital One present recent work or present frameworks which might be useful for your project As a part of the Finance Internship Program, your projects may include: • Developing monthly reports for analysis of forecast variances, trends and other metrics • Analyzing key business drivers such as customer and asset volume, attrition, losses and margins • Improving forecasting models through the analysis of key business trends • Assisting in the completion of externally reported financial statements • Driving operational improvements through specific project-based work As a part of the Analyst Internship Program, your projects may include: • Spearheading analysis on a cross-functional team to develop effective revenue strategy • Developing capacity models and designing reporting to improve cost management • Testing trade-off revenue and credit losses and making recommendations for optimal outcome • Identifying business opportunities to increase transactional volume from existing customer base • Analyzing customer responses to particular combinations of product terms EXCEL IN CAPITAL ONE'S INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS, and you'll challenge yourself working with some of the brightest minds in the business, and gain priceless professional skills, but you'll also see what it takes to build an immensely rewarding career with Capital One. Preferred Qualifications - · Current students in graduate or undergraduate programs, available to begin full-time employment before July 2011 · Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 · For Finance Internship Program preferred majors include; Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business · For Analyst Internship Program preferred majors include; Engineering, Math, Business or other quantitative fields of study Capital One will not file non-immigrant visa petitions for alien workers. |
