Job Description:


Serve as the enterprise owner of the Global Compliance Program, which defines the foundational requirements of ensuring Bank of America is in compliance with rules and regulations for all of the businesses we operate across the global jurisdictions in which we operate.



This leader and their team will work across the Compliance function to ensure the program is adopted across the organization and effectively deployed with the businesses we support. This function will serve as enterprise process owners for the core elements of the compliance program. Those core processes are:



Overall Program Integrity- keeping program requirements up to date and in line with changing regulatory or business needs; ensuring additional sub programs are in place (there are currently 50+ sub programs owned within the Compliance function that are lower level detailed programs aligned to the Global Program); ensuring annual evaluation of program effectiveness; serve as bank liaison to regulators and examiners regarding our compliance program, including managing routines exams related to the Compliance Program itself



Risk Assessment Process - define and implement a global process/methodology with supporting infrastructure to facilitate assessment of risk in complying with critical laws and regulations - at a functional, LOB and jurisdictional level. This will include: working across the team to ensure inventory exist of critical laws and regulations and a process is in place to maintain currency of information as changes occur; facilitating holistic identification of risks with complying with specific laws or regulations as well as mitigation plans necessary to reduce risk; developing and implementing reporting to allow transparency to risks and mitigation plans to manage risk; ensuring risk assessment process, data and reporting is integrated into Monitoring and Testing plans as well as the issue and emerging risk management/escalation processes



Monitoring and Testing - define and implement a global process/methodology with supporting infrastructure to facilitate independent monitoring and testing compliance - at a functional, LOB and jurisdictional level. This will include: working across the team to ensure monitoring and testing plans are defined and appropriate to current and emerging risk; ensure infrastructure is in place to capture and manage monitoring and testing plans, capture findings include supporting metrics reporting and tracking of issue/risk mitigation plans; facilitating holistic oversight of execution of monitoring and testing plans according to plan, as well as roll up of issues/risks and mitigation progress necessary to reduce risk; developing and implementing reporting to allow transparency to monitoring and testing plans, results and action plans. It will be critical that this role work in partnership with Audit to ensure process and schedules are complementary to the audit process and schedule. Issues and risks will need to be integrated into the overall compliance issue and emerging risk management/escalation process.



Compliance Program Infrastructure and Data Management - define process support tool needs, data and reporting requirements to support the program and associated processes and ensure Global Compliance reporting and information management requirements are met



Ensure the various compliance teams across all LOBs and jurisdictions effectively adopt these processes - ability to work across a global footprint is crucial



Build and drive rigorous management routines with Compliance leaders from each compliance discipline to ensure LOB or Compliance program level risk assessment, monitoring and testing plans are well defined and executed against - escalating challenges and issues as needed


Qualifications


Proven experience driving enterprise level processes during a time of change

Proven experience in building sustainable processes at an enterprise level that can be adopted across businesses and countries

Proven experience in influencing Senior leaders and driving cross functional execution of change

Proven experience in defining and building workflow and information management solutions to support business processes
