PVG Equity seeks a person to help achieve its objectives. PVG tasks include independent price testing of firm inventory, review of valuation adjustments, review of new deals and analysis of the daily P&L. The group in NY consists of a manager and two analysts.

PVG Equity is responsible for:
- Independent price testing of trader marks for the equity derivatives portfolio.
- Reporting test results in good form to the business units, finance and regulators.
- Validation of valuation adjustments and reserves.
- New deal review process as it relates to price testing and valuation policies.
On a daily basis, the Analyst will:
- Perform price verification work utilizing Excel Spreadsheets, Pivot Tables, Internal Trading Systems, and related technology.
- Analyze testing results and organize data into useable form.
- Work with team members to produce periodic reports and respond to ad-hoc requests.
- Coordinate with Trading, Risk Management and Finance to resolve valuation issues.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years experience in equity derivatives with strong product knowledge.
- College degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Math, Physics, Engineering).
- Experience analyzing large data sets including more than one of the following skills: Excel Spread Sheets, Pivot Tables, VBA, SQL, Oracle database.
- Experience producing professional quality financial reports.
- Basic knowledge of the accounting issues surrounding fair value for derivatives.
