Job Description Department Description Working within the Compliance Reporting department of JPMorgan's Worldwide Securities Services. This rapidly growing department is currently in great demand by both JPMorgan and its external clients to provide accurate automated reporting on the validity of legal, regulatory and internal investment guidelines for investment portfolios across the globe. We use an automated system to create reports for our clients on any investments which may not be advisable to hold - For example an "Ethical" fund may be automatically checked for holdings in companies involved in landmines and cluster bombs. This department is not affiliated with "Legal and Compliance". Role Description This role falls into one of two categories: Client Focused
* Provided with a set of clients, the Compliance Reporting Specialist would be responsible for: * Creating and sustaining a strong relationship. * Providing innovative solutions to client requirements. * Maintaining existing fund "rules" within the system and tailoring available solutions to the changing needs of the client in a timely manner. * Attending occasional face-to-face client meetings within either the UK or Europe as required. * Scope client requirements against that of the system and perform maintenance to the client's account. * Discussing industry practice, product development and evolving regulations with the client.
Technically Focused
* Concentrate on problem-solving technical and involved requests for clients across the globe, as part of discrete implementations of new business. * Providing technical input in client meetings as necessary. * Logical, problem-solving, technical person would be ideally suited.
Candidates need to either have, or swiftly acquire, knowledge of a myriad of financial instruments, including derivatives. Training opportunities are available and a willingness to learn mandatory. Key responsibilities
* Regularly communicate with clients (in person, over the phone and electronically) negotiating solutions which match client requirements with technical feasibility. * Create, maintain and test logical rules automatically applied to the financial instruments owned by JPMorgan's clients. * Assist user testing and implementation of future application releases. * Additionally the candidate will be responsible for reviewing the work of their peers.

* Degree in related technical area (such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer Sciences or Business) advantageous but not essential. * Qualification involving financial instruments beneficial. * Prior client service and client management experience * CFA qualified or student
Experience A successful candidate would have at least two, ideally three of the following key attributes, demonstrated by suitable experience:
* Strong client-facing ability * Superb technical aptitude, ideally with logic-based systems * Excellent financial instrument knowledge. * All candidates must have: * Excellent written and verbal communication * Strong analytical and organizational skills * PC literacy, especially in Microsoft® Excel
