Job Description
The Compliance Officer will form part of the Treasury and Securities Services ("TSS") Compliance Team, specifically focused on the WSS Financing and Markets Products ("FMP") business and will report to the Head of EMEA TSS Compliance. The FMP products are: Securities Lending, Securities Clearance and Settlement, Depositary Receipts, Collateral Management and Transition Management.
Overview
The global Compliance Department provides a broad range of regulatory and compliance services and advice. This includes regulatory interpretation and analysis, advising on the interpretation of policies and procedures, performing a compliance risk assessment, advising on new product development and implementation, interfacing with the Regulator etc. The Compliance Department also has the responsibility for providing regulatory education and training.
The TSS Compliance Team forms part of the EMEA Compliance Department and the Global TSS Compliance Team.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide timely advice and assistance to the business on regulatory issues, compliance matters and Firm policy and procedure
* Participate in various governance committees with respect to product coverage representing Compliance
* Assist in the coordination of Regulatory visits
* Liaise with Legal & Compliance colleagues in EMEA, Asia and the US
* Draft and/or the implement Firm policies and procedures
* Review and approve new products as defined by the firm's new product approval process
* Develop and/or present Compliance training

* Ability to interact with, and present to, Senior Management
* Flexibility on working hours
* Travel to other locations as required
