Overall Job Purpose


To manage the delivery of Performance Development and Management System for Barclays Shared ServiceContribute to the development and implementation of BSS-wide reward initiatives that helps foster the Intrinsic "reward" elements that contribute to Internal value or motivation of employees.


Main Accountabilities



Routine


Performance Management


  • Ensure compliance of the Performance Development (PD) process as per the Barclays PD Global Standard [ Policy, Calendar, definitions, changes ]

  • Ensure all SOX, BIA and Internal /External Audits relating to Performance Development Process, are tracked and fully compliant.

  • Undertake research/analysis of Performance Development data

  • Data-mining of all PD Records, and reports circulated intra/ inter department across BSS.

  • Upkeep and design of the BSS Performance Development Intranet webpage.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs team to develop and manage complete Internal-communication plan pertaining to Performance Management for BSS

  • Develop a robust and streamlined process for "managing underperformers, and capability Issues "across all functions at BSS.

  • Address concerns related to performance management, raised by Business HR and Senior Leadership at BSS, and GRB Rewards

  • Endeavour to establish clear linkages between HR tools like incentive programs, talent management, role profiles , Job evaluation , IJP and Promotion Policy

  • Ensure end-to-end Project Implementation and delivery of PD System for BSS[ Online / Web-based user application launched globally ]


Recognition and Reward Programs


  • Implement Corporate Recognition Programs at BSS [ e.g. Red Carpet , HEA ]

  • Manage Supplier Relationship for various programs [R&R, Education, Trophies et al]

  • Maintain strong budgetary controls and tracking mechanism w.r.t. R&R Budgets.

  • Data-mining of all R&R Citations, records, and reports

  • Responsible for designing and maintenance of BSS HR R&R Intranet.

  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs team to plan out the annual activity / Internal-communication calendar pertaining to R&R.

  • Create awareness and branding of recognition initiatives rolled out by rewards team

  • Ensure timely planning of R&R events leading to seamless execution and enhancing event experience

  • Actively engage with senior leadership, and colleagues to develop better recognition plans/solution, collect feedback through FGDs, VOC to gauge and evaluate effectiveness of the prevalent R&R plans.

  • Partner with institutes and universities to create corporate educational programs for BSS employees.


Projects


  • To conceptualize new and cutting edge recognition programs/ practices at BSS

  • Project manage Performance Development Assessment {semi-annual} Cycles

  • Gather market Information, Industry practices on innovative reward & recognition programs / tools that can be deployed to engage and motivate employees.

  • Oversee the In-Cycle, Off Cycle Promotion Cycles, and progression process policy, and apply adequate controls wherever, necessary.

  • Preparation of Management Information publish executive reports, dashboards, trackers, and data to support new and existing initiatives, and performance management data.


Technical Skills/Competencies


- Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations and in interpersonal communication.

- Proficient in managing multiple short and long term projects , ability to negotiate, influence, facilitate & collaborate with peers and senior leadership

- Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and record management abilities.

- Visual Spatial / aesthetic skills

Specific Job Skills

- Sound knowledge of external best practice across all aspects of reward management

- Good understanding of the ITES or Finance Service industry and its most recent governance requirement with particular relevance to Reward


Experience/Qualification


Education



- Graduate (preferably in disciplines of Mass comm., English ) ; or

- Post Graduate in Human Resources


Essential



- Experience in operational management of reward programs or Performance Management ; or

- Experience of the Financial Services or ITES industry


Preferred


- Experience in using IT packages such as Excel

- Knowledge of reward infrastructure (principles, policies, practices and governance) to support a fast growing international business
