Job Description:


Capital One is seeking a Principal Auditor. In this exciting role you will perform professional internal auditing work that involves conducting operational, financial and compliance audit projects and provides input to the development of the annual audit plan. Maintain organizational and professional ethical standards and work under limited supervision, with some latitude for initiative and independent judgment.



Responsibilities:

• Oversees major components of audits and leads small to medium size audits. Performs risk assessments of business activities, potential exposures and the materiality of loss. Provides input into the development of the annual audit plan. Supervises small audit engagements.

• Designs and performs appropriate audit procedures to verify the effectiveness of existing controls, identifies and defines issues, reviews and analyzes evidence, and documents auditee processes and procedures. Designs and executes internal control testing

• Establishes and maintains good client relations during engagements. Communicates or assists in communicating the results of some audit projects to management via written reports and oral presentations.



Basic Qualifications:

• 2 Years of accounting or audit experience

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited College/University

• 2 Years experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, financial analysis, information systems, compliance or other related field





Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or Business Administration

• Certified or working toward a professional certification such as a CIA, CPA, CRCM or CISA

• 5 Years experience in internal operational auditing
