Role: Principle Product Manager Team: National Direct Bank Manager: Kelly Sexton Location Preference: McLean Job Function: The Principle Product Manager role is on the National Direct Banking (NDB) team. The NDB team is a key part of Capital One's growing Banking segment and has an aggressive growth strategy for this year. NDB provides compelling online savings products to savvy consumers in the rapidly expanding direct banking space. Product Managers on this team develop new products, offers and services to provide compelling value to customers while achieving NDB's financial goals. Responsibilities: Own and maintain the existing suite of products · Be an expert on the features and details of all NDB products · Maintain the Product Matrix for use by partner groups · Develop relationships with partners in Marketing, Compliance, IT and Operations to enable successful launches of products, offers and services · Oversee the fulfillment of products or offers that require support outside of NDB's core systems 2. Support NDB's Learning Agenda · Support the development and testing of new offers for both customer management and new customer acquisition · Vet new offers through the appropriate governance and approval forums · Oversee the development of training and communications around new offers for NDB's Operations teams 3. Facilitate product improvement processes · Systematically capture and evaluate feedback from customers or associates · Identify and pursue improvement opportunities for the existing products and services · Provide input into the prioritization of partner teams' agendas Behavioral : · Strong problem solving skills to work effectively in a constantly evolving business environment · Strong focus on execution and quality, with emphasis on delivering the right customer experience while meeting the business intent · Strong relationship management skills to collaborate with partners effectively in cross functional teams · Ability to drive toward results in a fast paced and collaborative working environment, handling multiple concurrent projects · Strong verbal and written communications skills and proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project Basic Qualifications: · Associate's Degree · 3 years experience in Project Management and/or Product Management · 2 years experience writing business requirements · 1 year experience working with project management tool(s) (i.e. MS Project) Preferred Qualifications: · Bachelors Degree · Project Management Certification, Six Sigma Certification · Prior experience in banking preferred · Detail oriented and organized, able to manage numerous projects at one time · Relationship oriented approach and an ability to work with many partner groups
