Risk Manager
The Financial Services Risk Office is seeking an experienced, highly motivated risk management practitioner with strong strategic and integrative thinking skills as well as good organizational and communication skills to work with diverse business areas in the risk management space. Specifically, we are looking for a professional to support establishing and running our Mortgage Risk Management practice.
Responsibilities:
Risk Management Activities:
- Support the Financial Services Risk Office (FSRO) with designing and rolling out the appropriate risk management processes and practices for establishing a well-managed Mortgage Line of Business
- Identify areas of opportunity for consolidating/streamlining risk management activities across the Mortgage LOB
- Partner closely with Mortgage LOB leaders to ensure appropriate awareness and execution of risk management processes
- Support regulatory exams and audits for the Mortgage LOB
- Coordinate with the Corporate Risk Management groups
- Provide strategic insights towards developing and evolving the FSRO
- Other risk management activities as required
Basic Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelors degree
- At least 2 years of experience in project management
- At least 1 year of experience in people management
- At least 1 year of experience in leading and facilitating meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in project management
- 2+ years of experience in people management
- Experience in indirect people / team management
- Experience with process breakdown, root cause analysis and mitigation
- Experience with management of regulatory exams and/or internal audits
- Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the mortgage area
- MBA from an accredited university
- Able to build and maintain strong working relationships across workgroups
- Comfortable with ambiguity and white-space thinking
- Able to understand business processes, and provide input for business solutions
- Strong communication and influencing skills
