Fraud Analyst


Help us operate effectively by stamping out fraud.


As a Fraud Analyst, you'll have a unique opportunity to help us reduce fraud by producing and analysing management information for our Financial Crime unit. You'll achieve this with a variety of cutting-edge fraud detection tools across a wide range of product portfolios, and the information and suggestions you provide will help us meet specific fraud loss reduction targets and provide a better and more secure service to our customers.


What you'll give our customers as a Fraud Analyst

You'll provide our stakeholders with accurate, consistent management information to help us reduce duplication and effort, and help us meet regulatory requirements. You'll perform data analysis using complex statistical tools, identify new opportunities for enhancing and streamlining service, and then make relevant and informed recommendations. Finally, you'll be called upon to act as an in-house data fraud expert and develop tactical initiatives for process improvement.

What you'll need as a Fraud Analyst

The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do that in this role, you'll need either a business degree or the equivalent. You'll also need a working knowledge of SAS / SQL, as well as work experience in a data-intensive environment. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Access, is a must, as are advanced statistical understanding and the ability to manipulate large and complex data sources. Last but not least, you'll need to be a well-organised, proactive, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
