Job Description
Following are a description of duties:
* Act as a SME to various business partners and legal counsel regarding TIL claims
* Willingness to assist outside counsel in certifying TIL calculations are accurate for litigation purposes.
* Calculating TIL tender amount for valid rescission claims.
* Utilize vendor software in performing TIL calculations (Brooks Web Cals).
* Assist HLEO with response to Truth in Lending/Rescission Cases
* Assist with customer complaint letter reviews as time allows.
* Assist with other regulatory claims as necessary (included but not limited to Reg B, Reg X, FCRA, HOEPA etc.)
* Identify risk trends and root cause for TIL violations.
* Utilize the various internal systems to complete assignments and tasks.
* Research and request TILs and various documents from title companies as needed.
* Keep abreast of regulatory changes.
* Maintain and track # of rescission claims for reporting purposes.
* Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
College degree or AA degree with substantial compliance or regulatory experience
* Minimum of 3 years of legal or compliance experience
* Strong knowledge of TILA and Regulation Z
* Self starter, organized and must have the ability to work well independently and in a team environment
* Ability to handle high volume and prioritize as necessary.
* Knowledge of the origination process and documents is helpful
