Job Description:

You will become a member of an international team responsible for the following tasks:
    *Reviewing tailor made marketing material produced by Relationship Managers for their clients in order to assure compliance with LCD guidelines and regulatory requirements. Following topics have to be covered during a typical LCD review on marketing materials:
Cross Border Distribution
Banking confidentiality / data protection
Competition Law (Content correct and complete, unfair competition law and advertising law, Unlawful and unfair comparisons, trademark law, Untrue forward looking statements, Unlawful, disproportionate and exceeding promises/expectations)
Third Party Rights (Trademark rights, Logos, schemes, models, Copyright issues, Intellectual property rights, Personal rights)
Liability aspects (Risk Disclosure, Downside scenarios)
Reputational Issues

*Creating and updating training materials which are related to Cross Border Country Manuals. This tasks involves the following activities:
Coordinate the review and revision of training materials
Ensure that training materials are up-to-date and accurate
Update internal reporting systems
Liaise with legal department and compliance colleagues to clarify and resolve issues
Identify issues, problems and opportunities for further review
Must be able to work independently and deliver results within accepted timeframes
    Legal and Compliance (LCD) overview:
    Legal and Compliance (LCD) provides legal and compliance support to all business divisions and Shared Services functions across all regions of the bank. Our goal is to protect the reputation of Credit Suisse by ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and know-how to comply with all applicable internal policies and external rules and regulations. We support all areas of the business as they undertake the important task of managing their legal and regulatory risks. In addition to our advisory role, we develop and issue policies, conduct compliance training and perform monitoring and surveillance activities.
    Skill profile:
    University degree in Law, specialisation in above mentioned areas would be an asset
Professional experience as a Legal Counsel or Compliance Officer in a financial institution
Good understanding of the complexity of financial services and regulatory environment
Sound knowledge of financial services/ products Integrity and tenacity to maintain independence
Fluency in English and German, knowledge in French or Italian is an advantage
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other accepted office applications.
