Job Description:

  • Develops technology strategy and vision and supports all operational and design, development, unit integration, and performance test activities associated with program work.
  • Coordinates and manages all application releases, deployment and change control processes.
  • Assists the Sponsor(S) and BCM(s) in defining IT initiatives, developing business cases, prioritizing projects and gaining approval for investments.
  • Works with Sponsor(s) and BCM(s) to prioritize, approve and schedule all enhancement requests. Support Sponsor(s) and BCM(s) in developing IT budgets and translates to demand forecasting.
  • Works to improve the cost performance, availability and manageability of applications across their full lifecycle.
  • Works with Architecture on positioning of the Siebel application in the overall Architecture Blueprint, identification of effects of blueprint changes and ensuring that application architecture and lifecycle plans are in place.
  • Manages software vendor relationships (where applicable) for support, technical strategy, maintenance and upgrades, and working with sourcing on contracts and agreements.
  • Accountable for completion of all work executed by their team (on time, on budget, technical & functional requirements delivered, consistent cycle time and cost effectiveness improvement)
  • Works with ICM to provide product knowledge in order to quickly restore service and then to determine mechanisms to address future occurrences of this situation.
  • Manages relationship to other application teams, architecture, and technical resources required for operational support.
  • Supports a small team of individuals in work activities as well as career planning.
  • Engage with Business and Business IT leaders to define and plan Siebel solutions that are in sync with the product direction and business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with the SDLC and PMO processes and standards.
  • Take a leadership role in promoting Siebel capabilities within the organization, aligning solutions to organizations strategic objectives.
  • Engage with enterprise and application architects to ensure reliable and scalable operations.
  • Facilitate engagement with Siebel Expert Services during application review cycles. Prioritize recommendations and work with the Application Architects to develop action plans to implement recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Siebel product marketing and technical account manager in order to stay abreast on Siebel product direction. Qualifications/Requirements Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with minimum of 8 years of experience in IT.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing complex Siebel Solutions. Scope of design must include User Interfaces, Real-time integration to multiple disparate systems, batch process design, systems automation, data center operations controls to monitor Siebel applications, multi-thousand User systems with high transaction rates and data volumes.
  • Detailed understanding of the Siebel Development process, the Siebel architecture and the Siebel 8 data model.
  • Experienced in managing multiple Siebel work streams from Requirements through Deployment.
  • Working knowledge of Siebel multi-site development model (onsite/offshore model).
  • Experienced in implementing "data-center" type Siebel solutions deployed globally to a large number of users.
  • Experience in application development and management of IT projects.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize multiple, simultaneous process improvements and simplification initiatives.
  • Experience with process improvement tools/techniques and their application to streamline IT service delivery processes.
  • Previous experience in strategic vendor management.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills at all levels of the organization and ability to matrix across business units and functions.
  • High competency in project estimation, demand forecasting and budget management.
