Institutional Asset Management (IAM), a segment within the Financial Services Division of SunGard, is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture group within the Technology Office. This candidate’s role will include providing Enterprise architecture leadership through standards, governance, practices and technologies.
Essential Responsibilities
• Analyze and document current state architectures across the IAM segment.
• Evaluate tools / processes for standardization and reuse across the segment.
• Review / preparation of use cases within the IAM SDLC for critically identified projects.
• Provide technical direction/mentoring to both onshore/offshore developers
• Development / deployment innovation across the segment.
• Work with product development teams to ensure alignment with client technology needs.
• Technology proof of concepts.
• Provide technology and thought leadership. Position Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent of experience and education required.
• 7+ years experience focusing on full lifecycle application development.
• Extensive application development & design experience in both distributed and legacy core tiers.
• Strong Java skills and experience.
• Strong experience with relational database concepts, including experience in data normalization, data modeling, stored procedures, and functions.
• Knowledge and experience with design patterns, service-oriented architecture, solution frameworks, technical patterns and technical services.
• Independent worker.
• Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Excellent written/verbal skills.
• Travel of approximately 10% required.
