The consulting practice is built around integrated core capabilities - people, process and technology and industry expertise - the capabilities needed to help clients to tackle their most complex challenges   Federal Practice - Deloitte Consulting LLP Deloitte Consulting's dynamic Federal Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in financial management, business process improvement, strategy and operations, information systems development, package implementation, enterprise transformation, business process and applications outsourcing, and a full range of human capital advisory services.   Provide business process improvement support to a Department of Defense (DoD) client's network services operations.    • Assist client's business office personnel and program/financial managers with the review and evaluation of end-to-end business processes/systems and development of associated process improvement recommendations. • Function within a team environment to identify inefficient business processes and recommend technology-based solutions. • Provide analysis of operational and associated financial management processes and reports. • Support program and organizational assessments and business process documentation.  • Lead assigned task area(s) and provide coaching/leadership to junior task members.    The qualified candidate will need to strongly possess an understanding of the functional needs of the client.  This entails the ability to review and analyze an end-to-end process, understand abstract business concepts and processes, and make recommendations to better position the client to meet organizational objectives.   • Education Preferred:  Business Degree; accounting, finance, or related field • Experience Preferred: Federal/DoD Consulting; DoD Financial/Program Management; Federal Accounting. • Applicant must possess good interpersonal and communication skill and the ability to work independently as well as with team. • Position requires strong analysis skills as applied to program management, ERP/information systems, and federal accounting/financial management. • Evaluate current business processes. • Document current business operations, processes, and data requirements related to clients' operations and associated information systems and associated financial management processes. • Demonstrate organization and analytic skills in a problem-solving environment. • Prepare project deliverables. • Demonstrate prior experience with business intelligence and reporting/dashboard tools as a means of automating solutions in lieu of manual processes. • Demonstrate the ability to conduct analysis of business processes and recommend appropriate corrective actions.   Position Requirements • U.S. Citizenship • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance • Possess knowledge of and experience with Federal accounting regulations and processes • Education:  Bachelor's Degree • Experience:  Possess 3+ years of Federal Government or DoD Experience • Ability to travel:  0-25%   Desired Skills • Prior Federal employment or consulting experience in DoD program/financial management, program execution, and/or accounting/budget • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or accounting • Experience with Microsoft Office tools including MS Excel, MS Access • Relevant Training or Experience:  Federal Financial Management, Federal Government Accounting, and Appropriations Law
