It delivers solutions for all listed asset classes from equities, fixed income, derivatives and commodities to FX. Position Description
Market Trader (MT) is an equity and derivatives trading platform designed to cover the needs of multiple desks on the trading floor. Market Trader delivers total business coverage to the trading floor, providing real-time market data analysis and display, deal conception, order routing, execution matching, order monitoring and ticket production. The system also achieves straight-through-processing through the exchange of trade data in batch and real-time with back office and other systems.
MT is actively used in Japan and other regions such as: Hong Kong, Singapore Exchange (SGX), Korea, Thailand and Taiwan. Currently, MT has 4 clients in Japan and 5 clients across the region.
This role mainly consists of Market Trader (MT) regional 2nd level support and QA. The successful candidate is also expected to perform exchange change analysis, Work Order (WO) analysis and Line Manager (LM) developer support. S/he will be supporting mainly our MT regional clients HK, SGX, Korea, Thailand and Taiwan. S/he will be expected to interface mainly with our Product Line (PL) for development / QA, and Distribution Unit (DU) for level 2 support. This role will also perform QA for both regional and Tokyo MT products.
Key Responsibilities: - MT regional 2nd Level support (including training of first level support at the DU Level) - MT Regional and Japan QA - Exchange change analysis (backup by PL) - Work Order analysis (backup by PL) - Line Manager (LM) developer support (backup by PL)
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to learn various trading technologies (GL, MT and FOX): - You will focus on MT technology but will have the opportunity to learn about other GL products in the future - You will also have the opportunity to learn both the business and technical side of our various clients in Japan and across the region - You will be trained internally during the probation period with SMART goals to be defined by the team leader Position Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications: **Essential Experience Required** - At least 3-4 years experience in client support – training role - Good knowledge or experience of Financial software - University graduate with degree on various sciences which includes engineering or economics
Desirable Experience Required - Experience working for a Software vendor - Regional Market Knowledge is a big plus
**Essential Skills Required** - Good communication skills, capable of synthesis (good troubleshooting skills), flexibility and willingness to learn and, autonomy and pro-activeness - Good knowledge of Unix or Linux (must); knowledge in database (Sybase/Oracle) or network (plus) - English (Native Level) and Japanese (plus) - QA experience in a client support role
