GENERAL FUNCTION:
 
Participates in the activities of the marketing team, under the direction of the Director of Investment Advisors Marketing and Marketing Manager. This involves the use of various marketing techniques to analyze and research as well as market and sell financial products and services. Primary responsibilities would include data collection and analysis, development of marketing plans, collateral management and other marketing aspects. This position will provide exposure to multiple lines of business and various marketing functions.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1.      Data Collection and Analysis.
·          Work with the Marketing Manager to collect, input and analyze various data for client profitability modeling.
·          Research competitive financial institutions to understand their product set, branding and value propositions.
·          Develop a SWOT analysis for key competitors.
 
2.      Formulate and Present Marketing Plan.
·          Read, digest, and analyze the competitor landscape.
·          Working with the Marketing Manager, use insight, past experience, and judgment to recommend marketing activities to enhance the sales of the Fifth Third Private Bank World Elite MasterCard.
·          Prepare cogent and insightful marketing plan to expand World Elite MasterCard sales in the Private Bank.
 
3.      Collateral Management.

  • Assist with the management of collateral pieces.
  • Work with third party vendor to remove antiquated collateral,
  • Analysis of Gas Tanks Funds, Usage Reports, and Consolidation of shells

 
4.      Direct Mail.

  • Assist with direct mail efforts to communicate changes in government law and regulations to clients of the Private Bank.
  • Work with third party vendors to co-brand collateral.
  • Submit collateral pieces for legal and compliance reviews.

 
5.      Product Matrix.

  • Build and/or update product matrix to accurate reflect the Private Bank’s suite of products and services.

 
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
 
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing marketing plans and completing marketing activities. Should be able to exercise sound judgment and have solid analytical skills. Must be able to work within a team environment and maintain professional composure (and competency) in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks. Must present/maintain a professional business appearance and presence. Self-motivated, able to work independently with some supervision.
 
Education/Experience:        Significant progress towards a bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as marketing,  finance, economics, communications.), with a 3.0 GPA or better, is preferred. Experience in some marketing capacity is desirable.
 
Computer/Technical:           Proficiency with mainstream PC applications (particularly Microsoft Office Suite) is required; experience with other marketing software tools (Adobe, In-Design) is highly desirable.
