Job Description:

· Analysing and structuring Asian Corporate Aviation Finance transactions to result in risk-acceptable as well as customer value-add deal awards in the area of Corporate Aviation Finance within the Asian region.
· Proactively lead and manage communications and reporting with Deal Teams, Origination Managers, and Senior GE Capital staff on all progress and issues regarding transactions in underwriting.
· Lead and manage Asian customer and Deal Team relationships, needs and requirements to result in a professional and effective collaboration as well as a positive experience.
· An ability to quickly understand the financial, tax and legal needs of the client represent these requirements within a pre investment credit document (“PIC”) and present this structure/paper to senior members of GE Capital’s Asian and global risk management teams.
· Evaluate potential transactions and structures (“PIC”) to maintain high asset quality and meeting customer needs.
· Develop detailed and robust procedures relating to construction of “PIC” documents, proposal & offer documentation. Ensure complete and absolute legal and risk compliance for the Asian region (Corporate Aviation Specific procedures).
· Provide Asia risk underwriters with a specialised aviation resource to support in due diligence, documentation and settlement of aviation transaction within the Asian platforms of India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.
¨ Manage all activity related to Asian deal development: deal structuring, analysing, communicating, pitch preparing and negotiating transactions within underwriting; assuring timely progressing of transaction through “PIC” process and supporting due diligence activities within the Asian platforms among different transactions.
¨ Structure and support Asian underwriters of new Aviation loans/rental agreements through:
¨ co-ordination of information flow from client with Originator, the collateral review and analysis of collateral performance
¨ support Asian risk teams in the management of due diligence of collateral exams and valuations, legal, tax, environmental and compliance issues as required
¨ analysis of financial statements (profit & loss, cash flow and balance sheet) and financial modelling.
¨ prepare and present “PIC” request to requisite GE Management.
¨ Communicate transaction and progress and issues throughout entire underwriting process among Deal Team and Senior GE Capital management through regular meetings, and written and verbal reporting
¨ Instruct & assist GE’s legal counsels to prepare loan and security documentation and to assist in negotiating same with client.
¨ Develop and educate Asian Risk managers in the specialised area of aviation finance and structuring.
¨ Meet and engage clients where applicable (International travel will be a requirement of this role). Qualifications/Requirements ¨ 7+ years directly related structured aviation finance risk management, deal structuring, workout and underwriting experience.
¨ Strong ability to build teamwork through motivation, collaboration and coaching.
¨ Ability to fully scope transaction risk issues and proactively seek out information needed to satisfy risk exposure as well as customer requirements
¨ Ability to be open and flexible towards developing solutions to meet both the customer’s and aviation finance needs and requirements.
¨ Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and interact with customers, Deal Teams, vendors and other GE associates in a manner that maintains ongoing and positive relations.
¨ Strong credit expertise – comprehensive knowledge of credit and risk management techniques
¨ Solid working knowledge of legal issues, laws, procedures, rules and documentation regarding commercial finance, security, and insolvency.
¨ Strong work ethic, multi-skilled and versatile with ability to manage multiple tasks.
¨ Clear concise written & oral communication.
¨ Bi lingual in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be seen an advantageous, but not essential.
¨ Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, accounting or finance (Masters Degree preferred).
