Job Description:


Relationship Optimization

  • Oversight of 100+ key alliances with average annual mortgage production in excess of $56 million each.
  • Develop account management routines that optimize the MAP portfolio.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through the Concierge group the real estate agents in the 1000+ realtor relationships that Bank current has with realtors nationally
  • Develop management routines together with RSEs and DSEs to optimize the day-to-day service levels delivered by MLOs in MAP accounts
  • Coordinate business performance and business plan implementation across the smaller joint ventures that are managed by regional RSEs.
  • Oversight of a large staff of 40-100 Account Managers and Concierge Associates (currently 32 associates but ramping with the growth)

Government Lending Oversight
  • Optimize the joint venture and MAP portfolio by enabling these alliances to deliver high-quality FHA and VA loans
  • FHA / VA loans are expected to comprise over 30-40% of the total $13 billion funding plan for 2010 for the alliances
  • Monitor the SUS rates, compare ratios, loan quality and liaise with the Fulfillment organization to ensure adequate action plans are in place to manage the metrics to agreed-upon benchmarks

Origination Support
  • Oversight of a team of 11 loan originators who interface with KB and Beazer customers to take loan application and ensure adequate customer services based on the specific, better-than-industry SLAs in place between the Bank and these two builders.

Manages major operations segment or multiple operations units for a region, product line, or national business group within the company's internal operations activities. Functions managed have high monetary exposure and risk involving the processing of large $ volumes and regulatory restrictions. Proactively resolves broad operational issues and coordinates activities and processes with other business/operations segments. Sets strategic direction, as well as promoting ideas to influence multiple LOBs. Identifies, analyzes and resolves complex problems related to product lines or functions, using general practices and precedents to resolve. Develops and analyzes procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activity. Responsible for budget/expense management and achieving identified operational goals, as well as reporting and forecasting for areas managed. Responsible for proper communication and compliance with the regulatory requirements for company accounting, controls, and procedures across multiple groups. Experience with Six Sigma/Lean practices and change management required. Ability to utilize process engineering skills to analyze process end-to-end since decisions have significant impact affecting multiple and diverse operations and product lines. Diverse job background required to ensure broad business understanding and ability to solve problems.

Required Skills

  • Highly efficient and motivating leader. Experienced in working with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams of "top performers"
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of the mortgage banking business, loan economics, P&L.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of the real estate industry and the understanding of the various sizes and complexities of players (builders and realtors)
  • Strong ability to manage customer service processes, including telephony processes
  • Understanding the legal limits on access to cross-channel information (the so-called "Chinese walls")
  • Ability to understand the legal framework governing SBA (primarily RESPA) and its impact on the activities and processes that SBA can engage in
