We are currently engaged in a number of challenging client projects that require senior Java developers and architects with strong fundamentals in software engineering and computer science to address challenging design and deployment problems. The client applications under development use advanced Java technology in the web development space. Position Requirements
Candidates must have all of the following experience:
• Financial Services background and NY based, including exposure to market data for futures & options, commodities and/or energy
• Must have 6-12 years of hands-on programming experience and designing and maintaining software applications
• Must have minimum 8 years of hands on experience developing server side applications with Java and/or C#
• Must have minimum 5 years of hands on Unix shell scripting
• Must have minimum 5 years of hands on development experience in Sybase and/or SQLServer including writing complex SQL queries & stored procedures
• Some experience with Informatica is a plus, as is scheduling experience with Autosys
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal direction, directly with business users, operations staff and technology staff, at all levels
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 5 years experience as a software developer
