Job Description:

Strong prudential management has been a key to Macquarie's success over many years. The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. Risk Management Group personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed. RMG Credit assesses the credit risk on lending and trading transactions. It allocates credit limits for counterparties and countries, develops procedures for measuring credit exposures and reviews the adequacy of legal documentation. The Credit Operations team provides support to the RMG Credit department. It is responsible for setting, managing and improving internal processes such as those for setting Credit limits and circulating approvals. It is also responsible for defining operational policy and ensuring compliance with these policies. The Credit Operations area also produces a variety of management reporting, is responsible for system design and specification, training and user access and supports a group of 70 analysts in Sydney, London, New York, Hong Kong and Houston. Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining customer information such as related party links, external credit ratings and stock exchange identifiers.
  • Assisting with counterparty research requests.
  • Production of regular and ad-hoc reports. 
  • Publishing, maintaining and organising RMG Credit and Credit Operations policies and procedures. 
  • Granting access to Credit systems. 
  • Continuous improvement of reporting processes and output.
  • Assisting in ensuring the smooth running of the RMG Credit department and providing support with regards to problem solving and process review.
  • Some administrative work. 
  • Ad-hoc project work as required.
You will have:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect and resolve underlying problems. 
  • A cheerful, service-oriented attitude combined with an ability to determine and articulate conflicting interests. 
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to work towards and meet deadlines. 
  • Tenacity and flexibility with the ability to work autonomously and to manage a number of projects simultaneously.
