Who we are looking for We now have an opportunity to join PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Client Account Associate (CAA) in our Government and Public Sector London office, on a 1 year fixed term contract. About the role A Client Account Associate (CAA) works as a team member on client assignments and projects in our Assurance practice, delivering professional administrative support covering areas such as finance, project and research work. The CAA role will suit natural organisers and self starters. You will need to have confidence and the ability to build rapport to deal with all kinds of people and work effectively in a professional team environment. The CAA will act as a key communication point between members of staff and partners on the team and with the client directly. The CAA will work primarily at the PwC office but also at the client's premises. Responsibilities - Proactively monitor costs and expenses relating to assignments, preparing bills and chasing debts
- Provide regular budget updates, analysing discrepancies and suggesting solutions to problems encountered
- Coordinate team and client meetings
- Confidently manage and coordinate upwards
- Manage client documents effectively and to regulatory standard
- Proactively support the preparation, manage the updates and monitor project plans
- Anticipate the needs of team members and provide solutions and support where required, including sharing across teams and driving innovative ideas
- Able to use and teach others areas of the internal finance system
- Become the ‘go to person’ on the team and within the community regarding various technical and non technical support areas
- Maintain professional working relationships with other team members, support staff, client staff, and wider networks
- Show interest in related industry of clients to increase own knowledge and provide effective client service

Our London Public Services Assurance practice is a successful team that delivers internal and external audit, accounting, IT Assurance, Project Assurance, risk management advice and controls assurance across Government and the wider public sector. The overall team comprises of 6 Partners and 8 Directors and over 150 professional staff. We have an impressive client base and very ambitious growth plans for the coming years. We are going through an exciting period of change and expansion. Additional information - Amount of time office based: 100%

Requirements - Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, including GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above
- Preferably educated to graduate level however not a necessity
- Prior work experience (ideally from an administrative/analytical background from within a corporate/professional services environment), and with experience of analysing financial or statistical data
- Proven IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Numerate and analytical; comfortable with numbers
- Takes pride in delivering accurate and thorough work
- Good time management and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise workload
- Proven reliability in customer service and problem solving skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to take responsibility for own work under own initiative
- Able to work to deadlines, and flexible with regard to hours (overtime may be required) as priorities may change at short notice
- Team player
- Able to communicate confidently and professionally with people at all levels, and build relationships with staff and clients
