PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Bank & Reconciliation Services Associate position supports daily accounting and reporting functions with limited supervision for Central Control in accordance with internal regulations and banking requirements.  This position may act in a backup or secondary capacity to support the special projects, reconciliation of complex bank accounts, and research of complex or aged items/problems. The position acts as a department liaison and completes several independent tasks.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Reconciles bank activity on the record keeping system for shareholder transaction activity on a daily basis and balances monetary transactions that move between the Transfer Agency and T. Rowe Price Mutual Funds.  This includes but is not limited to Wires, Check Disbursements, Deposits, ACH, and Direct Deposit transactions.

 

Resolves discrepancies within business standards by partnering with phone groups, processing groups, fund accounting, bank vendors, and DST.

 

Conducts reporting, remittance, and/or settlement requirements.  

 

Trains and coaches team members.  Acts as department liaison. Supports team projects.

 

Maintains and updates procedures in accordance with Central Control Group policies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required

·        High school diploma/equivalent and 1 year related work experience, or Associate degree, or College degree requiredProficient in a Windows based environment

·        Able to navigate through DST systems

·        Good understanding of procedures and policies as they relate to departmental and regulatory requirements

·        Detail oriented and flexibility to shift focus to different responsibilities

·        Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion

·        Interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

·        Good verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to meet deadlines in a timely fashion

·        Strong leadership skills

·        Adapt to change quickly

 

Preferred

·        College Degree with direct Central Control experience preferred

·        Accounting degree or experience preferred

·        Investment Knowledge preferred
