Who we are looking for The PwC Legal Company Secretarial team forms part of the wider PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal group. The team comprises approximately twenty five people and includes 12 qualified chartered secretaries and 6 trainee chartered secretaries. As a project adminstrator / paralegal, you will be a key member of a client engagement team with clear objectives and responsibilities. You will actively work and support a client engagement team to ensure engagement deadlines are met in a timely fashion by managing and being responsible for key client projects. Please note this role is a paralegal position in the Global company secretarial team and NOT an entry route to complete a training contract or professional qualification. - Completer finisher - ability to see tasks through to the end and meet tight deadlines, taking responsibility for their completion and maintaining quality throughout
- Good risk awareness skills and the ability to act/think strategically are vital
- Excellent IT skills, including financial systems
- Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise work load whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

About the role - Responsibilities: - Key involvement in assisting with the co-ordination of the provision of company secretarial services to multi-national clients as part of the cross border offering
This will involve managing the relationship between the client’s overseas subsidiary contact and the local service provider - Ensuring statutory compliance deadlines (accounts filings for example) are completed on time
- Instructing outside legal counsel in country to undertake special work such as share transfers, director changes etc. Sourcing and negotiating fees and project managing delivery of the work.
- Provide support to senior colleagues in the transition and co-ordination of global compliance services. This may involve participating on client calls and preparing client deliverables.
- Ensure effective, timely and accurate administration of client’s corporate databases
Assignment/Project Management - Actively work with client engagement teams in the execution of the project deliverables
- Organise engagement teams to meet client timetable, to work towards and meet engagement team objectives
- Balance the needs and expectations of various client engagement teams
- Make recommendations regarding the use of project management tools to enhance the management of the engagement
- Manage projects to ensure deadlines are met, recommending efficiency savings to ensure that this is the case
- Attend client and engagement team meetings, prepare advance notes/material, take notes of the meeting, distribute actions plan and ensure actions have been completed
Finance - Have a clear understanding of the firm’s finance procedures relating to the client engagement
- Take a lead role in all complex areas of client engagement accounting, including group fee analysis, billing and collection issues
- Take the lead in the client billing programme of an engagement team including preparation of draft budgets and fee schedules
Risk Management - Fully understand and ensure the engagement team follow PwC’s protocols for record keeping and document handling
- Educating by example to increase the awareness of good risk behaviours within your client engagement teams, this includes compliance with:
- Completion of Shield
- Completion of Authorisation for Services Forms
- Engagement procedures (letters/schedules/terms of business)
- Disengagement procedures
- Leveraging technology so that our systems effectively support the engagement team work processes
Marketing/Business Development/Research and Knowledge Sharing - Provide regular updates of relevant client information to all members of the engagement team using various databases, Factiva, research tools, the internet etc
- Create and actively support an environment which enables the sharing and application of knowledge
- Undertake proposal research including identification and relevant collation of information
- Monitor CRM to ensure marketing opportunities and wins are maximised.
- Play a key role in Client Opportunity Review Meetings within your business team (CORs) and take responsibility for following up on action points and help drive forward any initiatives identified
DMS - Oversee and undertake procedures relating to the administration of the document management system, including:
- Assisting with any new DMS initiatives within PwC Legal

- Demonstrable academic achievements
- Educated to at least A level or equivalent
- IT literate with knowledge of basic Microsoft packages
- Demonstrable work experience in a business environment
