Our cross border network combines the skills of:
  • Industry specialists
  • Regulatory specialists (who are based in and have an in-depth knowledge of the local tax regime)
  • Subject matter experts, not only specialised in VAT/GST, but also with experience in specialist areas (including customs and international trade, excise duties, environmental levies and energy taxes, e-invoicing and e-archiving and litigation.

The South East VAT team has experienced 30% growth over the last two years, and is looking to recruit to expand on this success. An opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our Uxbridge office has arisen. 

The team is led by a partner, who is supported by a Senior Manager, two Managers and a Senior Associate.   Our clients are mainly located in West London and the east of the Thames Valley.  Clients come from sectors as diverse as technology, construction, retail, and transport and logistics. They include a sizeable and growing number of clients who are family-owned businesses and private entrepreneurs through to global household names.

About the role

Responsibilities

As a consulting business, our work tends to be ad hoc in nature. Our projects range from one-off initiatives providing bespoke solutions to specific problems, through to advising countries that are introducing VAT systems for the first time.

The successful individual will deliver bespoke assignments to our very broad client base.   Requirements
The successful candidate will have the skills and experience detailed below:  

  • Experience in the indirect tax market is essential accompanied by strong technical knowledge and a proven ability to build and develop strong client relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Flair for negotiating with VAT authorities in order to get the best result for your client
  • Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills
  • Excellent project management skills


The successful candidate is likely to be working in a leading firm of accountants, lawyers or the public sector. However, if you have gained relevant 'in-house' experience at a large company, we would also be interested in hearing from you.
