Job Description:

The Product Transfer Leader will be responsible to drive component localization and transfer of a ventilator production line to India. The role will evolve to drive IB engineering activities for that product line thereafter. The Transfer leader will develop the Integrated Program Plan for transfer activities, liase with cross functional sourcing and manufacturing teams in India and engineering / sourcing / manufacturing teams from the pitching country and execute the transfer plan. . Duties include (but are not limited to)
:· Ensuring that the product development process abides to the business Engineering & Manufacturing Quality Procedures, Phased Review Discipline and regulatory needs of the applicable markets
· Working with the pitching engineering , sourcing and manufacturing teams to create transfer plans and work with the India cross functional teams to catch the product.
· Planning resources and materials for timely and within budget program execution.
· Working with vendors to drive localization of parts of the supply chain for the product. Drive complete engineering verification activities at part level and system level based on the design impact assessment of localization activities.

Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Drive compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Control FDRs and NPI program milestones
5. Identify continuous improvement activities by initiating the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives Qualifications/Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science within an appropriate discipline or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
· 8+ years progressive experience as an engineer within the appropriate field of study (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Systems Engineering ) to include 3+ years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing /engineering environment.
. Extensive cross functional interaction experience (sourcing, manufacturing); experience in value engineering desirable.
· Demonstrated ability to work with global teams
· Excellent program/project management experience with the ability to develop and execute on integrated program plans. Skilled at understanding how to define integration steps to enable program success.
· Excellent understanding of patient/customer product related clinical applications, scientific/engineering methods/theory. Experience solving engineering issues, ability to get hands on to debug problems and work with engineers to assess design impacts and drive verification strategies.
. Prior experience in ECR/ECO management and IB engineering activities a big plus. Desired Characteristics 1. Demonstrated experience with NPI ISO and regulatory compliance process and design history files
2. Creative problem solver and solution developer when presented with conflicting requirements, business demands and technical risks/issues
3. Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating and driving closure of a product/program
4. Knowledge of GE Healthcare engineering tools and processes (EQPM, ePDM)
5. Attention to detail and ability work independently toward timely completion of a variety of assignments
6. Ability to develop unique concepts/solutions for complex products
7. Sound understanding of the business planning processes. Demonstrated thought leadership in functional and/or process strategic direction setting by being current on advancements in clinical and engineering concepts and technologies.
Experience in developing solutions for Life Support Solutions or other similar healthcare technologies is a plus.
