Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud. We are seeking qualified Managers to join the Healthcare Business Valuation practice: Our business valuation team performs valuations of business entities, intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities along with partnership interests, private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products. These services are provided to assist clients with mergers, acquisitions and dispositions; taxation planning and compliance; financial reporting; bankruptcy and reorganization; litigation and dispute resolution; and strategic planning. Consistent with our goal of becoming a trusted business advisor, we believe that the engagement consultation process needs to actively involve our clients. We provide valuation services to assist in the following areas: Business Combinations (SFAS 141, IRC section 1060) Business Financial Modeling Consolidation of Variable Interest Entities (FIN 46) Federal Tax Financial Instrument Valuation Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets (SFAS 142) Guarantor's Accounting and Disclosure Requirements for Guarantees (FIN 45) Impairment or Disposal of Long-Lived Assets (SFAS 144) International Tax Personal tax SFAS 123R/Equity Incentive Award (includes valuation of privately-held-company equity securities issued as compensation) Shareholder value optimization State/Local Tax The Healthcare Business Valuation Services Manager job responsibilities may include: · Fair market value of equity and invested capital valuations, mergers and acquisitions, purchase price allocation · Transaction advisory services related to both buy and sell side transactions · SFAS 141 purchase price allocations · SFAS 142 goodwill impairment testing · Intangible asset valuations as well as physician and executive compensation studies · Design the scope of work for engagements · Oversee multiple business enterprise and intangible valuation engagements simultaneously · Demonstrate experience managing daily aspects of client relationships and engagements · Assume responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables · Excellent writing skills and preparation of final draft deliverables · Balance multiple client engagements and other responsibilities · Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management · Coach, mentor, and counsel staff · Manage project teams averaging 3 - 6 personnel · Research market issues and identify market opportunities · Lead preparation of proposals and participate in marketing initiatives · Lead internal initiatives and practice management engagements · Build client base and internal (cross-functional) and external relationships · Perform reviews of third party appraisals for audit support purposes · Effectively manage risk associated with engagements Healthcare Business Valuation Services Manager will possess the following qualifications: · 5+ years of technical and financial advisory related experience with business enterprise in Healthcare and intangible asset valuations · Demonstrated experience in business and strategic planning and managing client relationships · Ability to create and deliver client service work that exceeds client expectations · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint · Must be flexible with the potential travel requirements of client service engagements · Experience in a professional services firm required · Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral · A strong finance, accounting, and/or economics background required · Bachelors required; Masters in Finance preferred; CFA, ASA, and/or CPA a plus
