Mergers & Acquisition Tax Senior Consultant   Deloitte & Touche LLP's ("Deloitte & Touche's") Audit and Enterprise Risk Services business has a risk-based approach, experienced professionals, comprehensive methodologies, and technical resources. Deloitte & Touche's services combine competency and experience in the areas of financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. Deloitte & Touche is a leader in providing merger, acquisition and divestiture ("M&A") services to corporate strategic buyers and private equity investors. Our M&A practice, which is a joint venture with Deloitte Tax LLP, is comprised of professionals who are dedicated exclusively to M&A activities. M&A transactions are among the more complex activities a business can undertake. We work with both private equity investors and corporate strategic buyers with the full range of deal execution issues, including due diligence, tax and accounting structuring, merger integration and post-transaction considerations. Our multi-disciplinary approach combines M&A, industry and other function specialists to provide fact-based answers and objective feedback geared to minimizing risk and increasing returns. Merger & Acquisition Services include:
• Financial, Tax and Operational Due Diligence
• Tax and Accounting Structuring
• Contract and Financing Issues
• Post-Transaction Services
• Merger Integration Services
• Portfolio Company Services Responsibilities:
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through interactions with client personnel
• Understand engagement as it relates to client's business
• Demonstrate knowledge in some areas of industry or functional specialty
• Assume responsibility for small components of engagements.  May have greater role on small engagements
• Contribute to engagement planning and ensuring that products/deliverables meet contract/workplan
• Deliver services that meet Deloitte & Touche's task leader specifications
• Report writing capability
• Contribute to a positive team attitude
• BA/BS in Accounting
• 3 years minimum related work experience, 4+ years preferred
• CPA, CA certification is a plus
