National Benefits Group Position Description Health & Welfare Benefits Manager Summary Assists with/manages the administration of Deloitte LP's health & welfare and work life benefit plans by performing the following duties personally or with co-workers.  This position reports to the Sr. Manager, H&W Benefits. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : ·         Provides guidance to CallCenter and other internal teams related to the administration of employee Health & Welfare benefit programs. ·         Provides expert counseling related to COBRA, disability processes, ADA, FMLA, Section 125 and other mandated or legislated requirements. ·         Handles partner and director benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution and/or escalation. ·         Provides counseling to management, partners, principals, directors, retirees and employees regarding provisions of existing/new benefits, policies and processes as needed. ·         Prepares PowerPoint presentations used to present background, facts, and recommendations to benefits leadership team. ·         Suggests plan design, administrative and technology changes based on experiences with the Deloitte U.S. Entities' plans, employees and knowledge of best-practices. ·         Project lead on small to mid size benefit plan and program implementations.    Prepares documentation of change needs to other teams and assists with the review and testing of related materials and systems. ·         Reviews communication drafts for accuracy, detail and completeness.  Works with communications and other team members as needed to identify communication needs and finalize documents. ·         Escalates issues to benefits leadership team as needed to assure prompt and accurate resolution of issues. ·         Interacts with vendors and internal team providing guidance and assuring appropriate levels of performance.   Qualifications: ·         A bachelor's degree and four - seven years progressive experience in Benefits Administration . CEBS a plus. ·         Subject matter expert in all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125,  Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements. ·         Strong project management skills. ·         Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively ·         Strong knowledge of MS-Office tools - Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Access ·         Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and data transmission, knowledge of Web Employee Self-Service applications, SAP knowledge preferred ·         Well developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm ·         Ability to work in a team environment with a client service focus ·         Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion ·         Strong analytical skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines
