Developing NBC Universal’s strategy, position and response with regard to proposed regulatory changes affecting NBCU’s businesses Establishing relationships with key regulators and, in certain jurisdictions, acting as NBC Universal’s point of contact with the regulator Implementing early warning processes to monitor and alert NBCU’s International businesses to proposed regulatory changes Developing processes and procedures to communicate regulatory requirements to International lawyers to enable them to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and monitoring compliance with regulations Participating in GE/Comcast’s regulatory initiatives Qualifications/Requirements 7+ years experience in either government relations agency or in a corporate government regulations or legal role, with strong media experience Comprehensive understanding of the media and entertainment business and key government departments, regulations and regulators Relevant experience and proven track record in formulating and implementing strategic objectives Ability to work in matrixed reporting structure and in a fast-paced, changing environment with diverse and heavy workload |
