Job Description:

  • Support all design, development and unit/integration/performance test activities associated with Project and RTS work
  • Coordinate and manage all application releases, deployments and change control processes
  • Develop a deep level of understanding of the business processes supported by the defined set of applications
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Operations users, developers, architects and other stakeholders as required for operational support and to define and plan integrated solutions
  • Accountable for completion of all work executed by their team (on time, on budget, technical & functional requirements delivered, consistent cycle time, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with the project management methodologies and the Project Management Office processes and standards, including release management, outage management and change control processes
  • Create, communicate, and manage project plans and other required project documentation and provide updates as necessary
  • In the case of outages, work with ITOM to provide product knowledge in order to quickly restore service and then to determine mechanisms to address future occurrences
  • Utilizes Quality discipline to manage new application development projects through complete project lifecycles
  • Interacts with business users to gather and validate requirements and develop detailed specifications and designs
  • Leads an off-shore team for new application development
  • Leads architecture design and code reviews
  • Leads systems, integration and user acceptance testing, and roll-out of new applications Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience - minimum of 4 years of professional experience) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in either IT Design, Development and/or Project Management
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with J2EE, SOAP, Spring, PL / SQL, BEA Weblogic, Siteminder, Oracle, XML, JavaScript

  • Willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township (near Ann Arbor / Detroit)

  • Possesses problem solving, prioritization, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to make recommendations to all levels of the organization
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (at least 5 projects which have been through all the phases of SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, ranging from non-technical senior leadership executives to software developers and Operations staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Project management experience in virtual environments
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management skills
  • Possesses application development experience and skills
  • Proven ability to lead and prioritize multiple, urgent priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to translate operational technical needs into complete, deliverable solutions and ensure client satisfaction
