As part of SunGard (over 16,000 employees), the Risk and Performance group has positioned itself as a global consulting and software company. To strengthen our market presence, we are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to find, execute a sales campaign upon, and close sales opportunities in a defined geography or list of accounts.
Responsibilities • Responsibility for the distribution of SunGard Risk and Performance solutions specifically as it relates to our Credit Risk and Capital Management solution which includes, spreading, risk rating models, portfolio stress testing, and capital management (Econoimic Capital and Regulatory Capital) • Management of the process at all stages of the contact investigation of the contract until delivery to the implementation team (acquisition of new customers) • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers and prospects as well as other sales and marketing activities • Work closely with our Sales Support Consultants to organize workshops and product demonstrations for potential SunGard • Identify the specific needs of potential customers • Development of contacts (including cold calling, if necessary) • Respond to the RFIs, RFPs within the required delivery time limits • Manage contract and price negotiations with potential customers • Regularly inform supervisor and management about the status of each project using the appropriate sales tools (SalesForce.com). • Actively participate in the development and / or review of all marketing and distribution materials • Recognize and translate market trends for product innovation • Conducting market Research • Co-organize and actively participate in conferences • Technical presentations in the areas of credit risk management Position Requirements
Requirements • Minimum of 5+ years sales experience with a proven track record of success in the completion of contracts in a similar environment • Understanding of the complexity of the distribution process in the software business • Prior experience selling enterprise deals to executive-level positions • Knowledge of the financial services industry • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills • Knowledge of the target market with strong contacts and references within the territory highly preferred • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills • Team player with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships • Bachelor’s degree (Banking/Finance preferred) • 50% travel
