POSITION DESCRIPTION: Inovant, LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs Middleware Systems Administrators to install, configure, and support and manage Inovant's middleware servers and upgrades in the test and production environments. Following standard procedures ensure that the middleware environment will meet corporate quality, security and compliance standards, providing the documentation for the ongoing support and maintenance of the systems. Support UNIX (Solaris/AIX) and WINDOWS based hardware, operating systems and middleware applications, including WebSphere, TomCat, in a transaction intensive domain. Test, document, upgrade, and patch existing servers with minimal down-time. Deploy components of the middleware and define configuration objects and messaging environments as well as improve the efficiency of and standardize the current systems processes. Respond to and resolve incident and problem tickets, including documenting the application architecture, system configuration across platforms and interface with various systems and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issues. Work closely with the customer support team to communicate the root cause of the outage, duration and recommendations or steps to resolve issues, using knowledge of RAID storage and SAN. Degree and/or experience may be required. May utilize one or more of the following skills: 1. Applications Servers including WebSphere, Oracle Application server and Tomcat; 2. Web Server technologies; 3. Unix (including Solaris and AIX) and Windows; 4. Java, J2EE, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOD); 5. 24 X 7 Operations support; and 6. Operations/Engineering experience with financial systems.
