| Job Description: |
·Drive new product commercialization & accelerate market segment penetration. ·Define, assess and close growth opportunities with customers and consultants within the key strategic market segments. ·Drive incremental growth at targeted prospects and drive improved product mix in specifications. ·Provide product and application design recommendations to GE customers based on application analysis and design expertise including configuration, compatibility, and substitutions. ·Work in conjunction with Regional LS leader to develop new project specifications for product selection, compliance, and value solutions (up-selling). ·Assist external customers with product selection including configuration, compatibility, and substitutions. ·Be a liaison between pole central application center and GE customers. ·Provide field application engineering and product information support to GE Customers, GE Sales Reps and specification community. ·Active within the industry and market segments to maximize GE presence & business results. Understand industry regulations and trends. ·Able to apply dollarization principles and provide cost payback analysis to customer or commercial team based on application analysis recommendations. ·Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements ·BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. ·At least five years of experience in Lighting or related industry. ·Knowledge of Lighting Solutions products, channels, customers, terms of sale, guidelines, and general lighting industry standards. ·Commercial experience. ·Requires technical experience and aptitude to understand and respond to customer needs. ·Strong motivation / initiative, proven leadership experience, accountability for results, solid analytical and prioritization skills. ·Ability to work with cross-function teams and clearly communicates with sales team, agents and distributors. ·Ability to use Microsoft Office tools. ·Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese if Brazil). ·Travel as neede Desired Characteristics ·Ability to provide customer with a seamless transaction, exceeding their expectations with timely and accurate information. ·Ability to effectively interface with all levels of internal and external customer. ·Experience in a customer-facing role such as Pricing, Sales or Sales support, Customer fulfillment, Marketing, or Product Management. |
