Prepare budget and firm technical proposals and costing for Conversions Modifications and Uprates (CM&U) of gas turbines in service Provide technical support to sales & commercial team for client meetings during both offer and negotiation phases Support proactive selling and demand creation of GE Oil & Gas Conversions, Modifications & Uprates in the middle east region Manage pre-award meetings leading technical hand-off to OTR (Order to Remittance) Effectively lead technical negotiations ensuring full scope alignment supporting market driven proposals Responsible for compliance with Customer technical specifications Coordinate with various Design/Engineering multi-disciplinary teams, as well as with other O&G functions and with the Client (Customers, Suppliers, Contractors; Sourcing, Finance, etc) to ensure timely flow of information and meet budget assigned. Ensure the correctness of the scope of supply, technical interfaces according to the customer requests. Define the costs of proposed solutions. Support and drive productivity/process improvement initiatives. Qualifications/Requirements Engineering BS degree or equivalent background (Mechanical / Electrical / Power). 4-6 years of experience with min 2 years in a technical role (Application Engineer, Project Engineer, Process, Engineer, Design Engineer). Availability to travel with short notice. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Is a team player, able to effectively communicate with his/her peers and supervisors. Has excellent influencing skills when dealing with Functions and coordinating their activities. Has a Customer centric approach, able to deal with complex Customers and meet specific requirements. Has a proven ability in understanding project needs in cross-functional view, negotiation and issue resolution skills. Takes lead in developing complex solutions, under pressure and with tight deadlines. Is a hard worker and committed to results. Able to work in autonomy, he is able to lead dedicated project teams assuming responsibility for its own decisions and to manage issues and team workload. Proficiency in English and Arabic. Desired Characteristics Knowledge of GE gas turbines models MS3002, MS5001 and MS5002. Knowledge of Oil & Gas turbine portfolio and other O&G products. Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (optional). |
