Job Description:

- Planning cycle coordination for the Region: Responsible to schedule reviews, coordinate with other functions, manage templates and reports and ensure data integrity. The planning cycle includes Growth Play Book, SII Process and Operational Plan)
- Weekly Quick Pulse and Monthly Operational Reviews: Responsible to coordinate reviews, ensure template completeness, manage and follow regional opportunities/risks impacting financial statements and track actual vs. estimate
- Analysis and Decision Support: Responsible for CM, Base Cost and Operating Margin walks. Recommending actions to get to planned performance for the operating teams.
- Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the business. Segment them into unusuals, controllables, operating drivers and identify root cause and action owners for each
- Work with region leaders to understand & drive opportunities for Growth and managing cost. Lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives.
- Partner with sub regional managers in order to establish key operating rhythms in order to improve and drive operating performance and lead strategic initiatives within the sub regions.
- Quarter Close Coordination: Ensure accurate financials (Company / Centers / Accounts / Accruals), variance analysis and explanations vs OP, PY , PQ and estimates.
- Liaison to LA HQ FP&A: Align reporting for total HealthCare Systems, benchmark indicators, provide on time visibility of Risks and opportunities.
- Controllership and compliance support for the region, account reconciliation, preparer audits and reviews.
- Support accounting and financial operation models for new opportunities in government tenders, direct operations and other distribution models. Qualifications/Requirements - Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or business administration and extensive financial/planning work experience (over 8 years progressive financial work experience).
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions
- Clear Thinker/problem solving, successfully lead cross functional project/processes.
- Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
- Strong analytic skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
- Excellent communication skills, experience working across multiple levels, able to communicate complex financial information.
- Solid PC skills, experience with financials systems/applications (oracle, cognos, BO, Hyperion), strong excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)
- Solid knowledge and understanding US GAAP principles, SOX and compliance.
- Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen. Desired Characteristics - CPA and MBA Preferred
- Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs
- Strong knowledge of GEHC financial and commercial operating systems
