Essential Functions Trainer Opportunities – Credit Risk Training Financial Institutions Trainers: specializing in Derivatives, Funds, Risk Management and / or sovereign risk. Summary If you an experienced credit risk professional seeking a career change where you have the opportunity to impart your knowledge and experience to develop others, Fitch Training offers an exciting, rewarding and highly flexible career as an external trainer. We are currently seeking a New York based trainer to join us on a consulting basis to deliver our intermediate and advanced level Financial Institutions workshops. Role profile Fitch Training is a global provider of credit risk training offering over 50 different workshops in more than ten locations around the world. You will deliver a range of specialist courses that have been specifically tailored and developed for professionals within banks, other financial institutions, regulators and multi-lateral organisations. It is envisaged that once you become familiar with the training material and that you yourself become trained in the delivery of the courses you will deliver between 30 to 60 training days per year and an additional 20 to 40 days developing and updating course material. You will work closely both with our team of professionals and our clients to help ensure your credit knowledge is kept current and market focused and you are well placed to provide the best training possible in today’s challenging environment. Requirements It is essential that you have extensive credit risk experience either as a risk manager, banker, analyst or similar. You will have an in depth understanding of one or two areas, such as derivatives counterparty risk or sovereign risk and may also be familiar with the credit analysis of specific counterparties , such as funds, banks, brokers and insurers. Your experience will have been accumulated over a number of years ideally from within a leading commercial bank, investment bank, regulator, rating agency or similar. In addition to having expertise in credit risk, those candidates who also have experience in either market or liquidity risk will be viewed favourably. Likewise the ability to train in Spanish is an added benefit. Market knowledge is crucial and you must keep abreast of current issues. Coupled with your outstanding credit analysis skills you must also have an in-depth appreciation of accounting, banking products and regulation. Naturally you will be an effective communicator with well honed and proven presentation skills and excellent listening skills. You must be at ease working to a planned programme as well as being flexible in your approach; flexibility, team work and multi-tasking skills as well as a willingness to travel are essential to being a successful trainer with us.
