RESPONSIBILITIES


 


The Senior Coordinator will be a member of Visa Canada's Strategy and Interchange team, which is responsible for the development and coordination of corporate strategy, the development and execution of interchange strategy and the production of business and data analytics to support decision-making across all functions in the Canadian office.  


The position will be responsible for delivering the data analytics that support a diverse range of business initiatives across the organization - this will include interfacing with multiple business and technical stakeholders and producing quality data analytics and reporting.  This position will also be responsible for producing specific monthly and quarterly management reporting.


 


Specific responsibilities include:


 


§  Development and production of reporting and analysis to support the Canadian office - database querying, data extraction and ad-hoc reporting


§  Managing and improving existing Visa reporting, this will include the review of data and results for reasonability


§  Preparing reporting packages for management review


§  Working within cross-functional and cross-regional teams to solve business problems and build Visa strategy


§  Supporting Visa's interchange compliance programs - track ongoing issues with the global interchange team based in the US.


§  Support the development of Visa's product and interchange strategies




§  Minimum of 4 years experience using data mining applications and demonstrated competence working with large data sets - previous experience with MicroStrategy applications an asset


§  Strong research, analytical and modeling skills with a proficiency using the Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel.  Proficiency with PowerPoint is an asset.


§  Post-secondary degree required; preference in a discipline involving large data sets (e.g. finance, economics, statistics, information systems)


§  Eagerness to work intensively on projects across a diverse group of subject areas - must be motivated and self-starting with the ability to work independently


§  Strong communication and interpersonal skills


§  Disciplined thinker with the ability to understand business requirements and deliver solutions - must be comfortable managing shifting priorities and tight timelines
