Ovum, the analyst and consulting company, is the largest European headquartered advisor on telecoms, software and IT services. We advise operators, vendors and government on the commercial impact of technology and market changes. As a Senior Analyst for Pharmaceutical Technology in the Ovum IT business unit you are expected to produce a high level of consistently strong research and analysis, conduct primary research of major commercial and technical trends, undertake quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and assist on consulting projects. This is a varied and strategic role where successful applications will demonstrate… - 2.1 Degree in the biological sciences or engineering or equivalent preferably BSc, MSc or PhD
- Proven research skills and superlative communicator, both written and verbal
- Statistical analysis and/or corporate valuation skills will be a strong plus
- Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceuticals industry gathered through substantial direct work experience
- Strong knowledge of at least one phase of the pharmaceuticals lifecycle, preferably clinical trials or sales & marketing
- An understanding of how technology is used in the pharmaceuticals industry
- Developed and demonstrable quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Self motivated and a self starter with good time management
- Must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen. Prior entrepreneurial experience will be a plus
- Excellent organisational skills, exceptional time management. Project management experience is a plus.
- Outstanding Excel skills and an understanding of the principles of commercial strategy
