RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sr. Business Leader, Shared Services (VPS) will be a member of Visa's Global Processing Team and will report to the General Manager for Visa Processing Services (VPS). The position will be based at Visa's offices in Singapore and will be generally responsible for:
Lead the budget and financial management for VPS.
Work with the VPS Management Team to evolve the business strategy.
Assist in any merger and acquisition efforts, business case development and other analyses as needed, in concert with the VPS Management Team.
Lead efforts to work with Visa Legal for contracts, NDAs and other legal issues.
Lead efforts to work with Visa's Strategic Sourcing team, managing vendor contracts and relationships.
Define and evolve business processes within VPS to streamline operations.
Manage the VPS Information Security function (which includes one direct report and 3 contractors) as well as manage one Business Analyst.
Specific responsibilities include:
In concert with the VPS Management Team, develop strategies for enhancing processing penetration around the globe by utilizing analytics, alternative business model builds, and inter-departmental collaboration, while ensuring support of Visa Brand and technology initiatives.
Perform comprehensive analysis of Visa's competitive position in the global issuer processing market, including leading defined and/or ad hoc teams comprised of multi-region Visa experts, as well as initiating consulting engagements and public domain data research.
Work with Visa's Legal department to lead the negotiation and management of vendor and client contracts, including providing resolution of business issues.
Work with the VPS General Manager, Head of Product Development, Information Security and Audit lead and others as appropriate, to create and document business processes, procedures and methodologies.
Work with Visa technical publication department to ensure internal and external user level and technical documentation is produced, updated, and inventoried.
Partner with other departments within Visa's Global Processing Team to create a holistic strategy, inclusive of acquiring, network and issuer processing activities.
Present processing strategies and the associated investment and revenue impacts to Visa and VPS executive management to obtain actionable corporate direction.
Participate in negotiations with any third party partners, new JV prospects, or other alliances.
Work with Visa's Legal, Finance, Marketing, Risk, Strategy, and HR divisions to launch new subsidiaries (tax related and otherwise) and JV's where called for, to advance Visa processing capabilities in new countries.
Work with the VPS Sales function to assist in the negotiation of new client contracts, and coordinate review and approval with Visa Legal.
Partner with functional leads in VPS to formalize service levels, management metrics and reporting. Create necessary infrastructure and processes to implement.
Manage the Information Security function for VPS, including one direct report and three contractors. Coordinate internal audits, SAS70 certification, business continuity planning, Visa Key Control compliance, PCI/DSS certification, as well as manage customer requests related to information security.
Assist in setting the agenda for VPS Board meetings, creating board materials, and developing the action plans that arise from board meetings as necessary.
MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience.
Typically requires 15 years of leadership experience in payments systems and processing solutions management with specific relevant knowledge of issuer processing and network businesses.
Demonstrated ability to understand complex business processes and procedures, identify opportunities for refinement, and drive efficiencies.
Significant experience in building new venture business cases that account for all launch parameters including: markets, competition, tax consequences, labor practices, audit and accounting, risk, facilities, systems, etc.
Ability to lead cross functional teams within a multi-region matrix organization, toward collaboration on key strategic issues.
