As Compliance Examination Manager, you will manage a team of Sr. Examiners in conducting operational reviews of seller/servicer’s compliance with Freddie Mac guidelines and general industry best practices.

 

We will rely on you to:

  • Perform onsite examinations and evaluate financial institution activities to assess/monitor compliance with policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Generate reports that identify and address areas of significant risk and evaluate overall effectiveness, quality, consistent application and performance
  • Lead a cooperative effort among members of the team and provide guidance to employees when necessary
  • Manage the activities of the department, which includes scheduling, budgeting and reviewing performance
  • Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect operations

 

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience; professional designation and advanced studies/degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of related experience and 2+ years of management experience (5+ years of management experience preferred)
  • 5+ years of audit, operational risk assessment or comparable experience in the financial services industry
  • Solid knowledge of the mortgage banking process
  • Big Four accounting/auditing experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Position requires 25-50% domestic travel
