Job Description:

The National Training Officer is responsible for driving the overall National Training program to support CISC and partner business objectives and strategies.  The NTO will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

 


·         Leading New Hire Financial Advisor Training, onboarding new Financial Advisors and following up with Advisors to make sure they are successful in their roles.

·         Leading Personal Banker Immersion training & Selling Skills

·         Make recommendations for enhancements on upcoming training modules by reviewing and test screening them.

·         Review Firm Policy and Procedures and Supervisory Spotlights to make recommendations on enhancements

·         Complete IM training modules and provide feedback on their experience to assist with enhancing the IM onboarding experience.

·         The NTO will use their field experience and knowledge to help to continue to develop and enhance the training program for our new and existing Financial Advisors.

·         Attend/review Smart Strategies Calls

 



  • Field Management Assignments:




·         Shadow IMs/SIMs/DMs/Planning & Investment Specialists, and implement their learnings through interim assignments as an acting Investment Manager.  This will include managing a staff of Financial Advisors and Sales Assistants for a prescribed period of time.

·         Attend quarterly SIM Business Reviews

·         Participate in OSJ/Branch Investment Audits, this will include making recommendations for corrective action (if necessary) and next steps.

·         Participate in FA hiring events by screening candidates and recommending hire/turndown decisions.

·         Observe Heightened Supervision and Reduced Grid conversations

·         Participate in Home Office visit (Supervision, Compliance, Compensation,  Support Services, Call Centers, Human Resources)




  • Obtain all necessary licenses (Series 24, 53, 7, 63, 65 or 66, Life)




  • Qualifications:

    ·         Minimum of 2 years of Investment industry experience

    ·         2 years Experience as a Financial Advisor

    ·         BA/BS degree preferred

    ·         Demonstrated leadership, motivational and influencing skills

    ·         Effectively plans and executes sales strategies

    ·         Ability to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic business environment

    ·         Excellent interpersonal skills

    ·         Strong written and oral communications skills

    ·         Ability to build trust and credibility with customers, partners and staff

    ·         Strong commitment to superior customer service

    ·         Effectively prioritizes and handles concurrent tasks

    ·         Proven problem solving skills

    ·         Acceptable compliance background
