The Operations Manager II will be responsible for effective management, administration, and control of Imminent Default business functions at multiple sites and remote staff. Oversee the timely and effective resolution of loan issues, exceptional customer relations, and overall operational efficiency in servicing mortgage loan accounts. Effectively manage large (100-200 full time employees) groups of Imminent Default Quality and Invoice Review as well as Regulatory oversight.  Employees may reside in different sites within the Home Loans division or at an off-shore location. Mortgage loans will include a Prime, Sub-Prime and Home Equity customer base.


 

Responsibilities will also include:


  • Managing performance of investor/insurer portfolios to reduce controllable loss, regulatory/Supplier Service Level adherence and effectively manage timelines.

  • Evaluating and resolve high priority and complex problems through communication and negotiation with internal customers, third-party Suppliers and Vendors.

  • Assisting with budget, resource allocation, and forecasting tools to ensure best possible use of resources.  Plan and report budgetary expenses. Coordinate space and build-out requirements with the facilities department.

  • Setting standards for key division performance metrics and service levels (KPIs). Ensure adherence to standards by monitoring and evaluating division performance against goals.

  • Deploying and champion Default initiatives.  Will be required to build functionality within the Imminent Default department as it relates to Quality Control, Regulations and Invoice Review.

  • Managing status reports, productivity reports, and other source documents to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conducting staff meetings to ensure communication of corporate policies and goals.

  • Mentor and develop staff through employee recognition using established corporate programs.


 

All managers are accountable for compliance with all laws and regulations when performing their job duties.  Each manager is expected to be familiar with the legal and regulatory requirements affective his or her span of control.  Each manager is responsible for implementing controls in his or her span of control to ensure that Chase complies with regulatory requirements.  Managers must participate in required training and ensure that their employees attend required training on pertinent compliance laws and regulations.  Managers are expected to apply Chase's performance management procedures with employees who fail to comply with the compliance requirements of their jobs.

  • 6 - 8 years of related experience in mortgage banking and default loan operations.

  • 2 years Department Manager experience.

  • Previous experience in managing multi-site default activity and/or Imminent Default management experience.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to prepare budgets.

  • Working knowledge of data processing information systems.

  • Understanding of real estate transactions and mortgage banking operations.
