This position can be located in Tampa, Florida(strong preference location)   Chicago, IL

 

The Trade & Logistics Program Management Office acts as the primary focal point for all project efforts, strategic, tactical, and operations, between the business groups and the Information Technology (IT) team. The project managers also support projects impacting the Trade & Logistics products that cross TSS business lines and their respective IT groups. The project manager works directly with the business subject matter experts and IT through all project life cycle phases from business requirements and process definition through post production review. The project manager may also be assigned to major client implementations responsible for the delivery of T&SS products and services, managing the solutions from inception through completion in accordance with customer expectations.

 


  • Plan and deploy software development and project management processes based on the prescribed Project Life Cycle.

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes and manage quality improvement activities per assigned project.

  •  Ensure compliance to System Development Life Cycle and/or Project Delivery Framework target levels.

  • Help develop overall application testing strategy for projects assigned.

  • Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary via standard project reporting methods.

  • Work with Application/Technical Architect and Business/Technical Analysts to ensure that the acceptable range for test results and performance gets communicated to the appropriate testing teams.

  • Ensure that alliances, subcontractors, and suppliers have acceptable quality management systems in place and are meeting quality and project control requirements.

  • Partner with development teams to ensure effective use of methodologies.

  • Facilitate tollgate reviews & Deliverable Reviews (e.g., project initiation, implementation readiness assessment).

  • Facilitate post implementation reviews & Lessons Learned.

  • Participate in project estimating activities. 

  • Establish and maintain working relationships across all relevant business units and partnering with the various Lines of Business and technology.

  • Promote effective teamwork and manage resolution of issues.

  • Promote sharing of best practices across Trade & Logistics and Treasury & Security Services.

  • Proactively support knowledge sharing within the Trade & Logistics Program Management Office.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by leveraging industry standard Project Management methodologies.

  • Conduct information-sharing sessions with impacted stakeholders as needed (Project Steering Meetings).


Influence and negotiate directly with clients, sales, product managers and other lines of business

 

To qualify we require:



  • College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience

  • Typically requires 5 or more years of relevant Project management work experience

  • Deep knowledge of Project Management and/or Systems Development Life Cycle 

  • Experience in delivering end-to-end technology & client implementation solutions/projects

  • Strong understanding of best practices and process improvement methodologies 

  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels

  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work

  • Strong MS Office suite skills (i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project)

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills 

  • Ability to develop meaningful project metrics (i.e., from MS Project, Tracking & Accounting Tools) 

  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities 

  • Ability to manage third-party vendors and sub-contractors in a matrix environment

  • Flexibility to accommodate the requirements of working as part of a global team (24/7)

  • Ability to influence and direct activities of resources outside of direct control.

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills for various levels of audience


Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with focus on implementation and fully accountable to results under tight deadlines.
