Manage multiple and challenging financial planning engagements and contribute to the delivery of quality tax planning for diverse clients, including coordinating the delivery of various Global Mobility and other Tax services offered by the firm in a proactive manner that meets/exceeds client expectations. Review the work of Staff and Senior employees. Conduct performance reviews for Staff and Senior level employees and help to develop and guide staff and other junior tax professionals by providing effective performance feedback and ensuring team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals. Identify business development opportunities and assist Partners and Senior Managers on proposals and new business opportunities by drafting responses, participating in the proposal process, building client relationships, demonstrating knowledge of client business and communicating directly with target company. Conduct/review research on various topics such as technical or treaty interpretation/application, regulatory issues, and payroll matters; prepare/review the related communications for the client. Demonstrate an understanding of complex expatriate tax concepts and effectively apply knowledge to various clients by coordinating accurate, quality US tax returns for assignees and coordinate worldwide foreign tax filings, as appropriate. Review international assignment-related calculations such as tax cost projections, tax equalization calculations, hypothetical tax calculations, etc. Develop and deliver quality tax services that meet or exceed client expectations by possessing and continually increasing understanding of complex expatriate tax issues. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Prepare quality, practical tax planning for the client's financial situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. Be a leader in developing recommendations and implementation plans and make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas. Manage the work of client service team members and be an active contributor in attaining team goals. Develop and manage the client team's technical skills, client service skills, and engagement management skills. Perform engagement management activities including billing, scheduling, performance evaluations, mentoring, managing client expectations, and identifying additional client needs/EY opportunities.


To qualify, candidates MUST have:



  • a Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, or law, plus 5 years of expatriate tax experience; OR a Master's degree in accounting, tax, or law, plus 3 years of expatriate tax experience




  • a CPA, EA, or JD




  • proficient knowledge of tax laws.
