Job Description:

STRATEGIC INTENT

 

The role of the Business Development Manager is to locate, develop a productive and profitable relationship with third party introducers with the view to exceed Citibank's' set targets. 

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Proactively manage a third party introducer portfolio to achieve set targets, deepen and drive existing introducer relationships with the view to optimise sales volume and portfolio growth.

  • Ensure that all risk, compliance and audit requirements are met.  This includes broker training and accreditation.

  • Achieve required settlement targets

  • Achieve required conversion rates from approval to settlement

  • Generate and drive cross sell opportunities to other relevant Citibank businesses.

  • Ensure controllable expenses are maintained under allocations.

  • Perform accurate lead tracking and MIS collection, sales and customer contact activity and reports

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to actively promote mortgage sales both internally and externally

  • Act as the primary communication channel between Citibank and the introducer base.

  • Ensure consistency of team values are adhered to

  • Ensure the business unit maintains the ethical standards contained in the Citibank Code of Conduct

  • Ensure the business unit adheres to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements


KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Technical/Specialist skills


  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry and udnerstanding of regulatory requirements

  • The ability to examine and work with MIS

  • Exceptional analysis/problem solving and decision making

  • Current Drivers Licence mandatory 

  • Language skills determined as per Portfolio requirements to be confirmed with Manager

  • Exceptional communication skills in all mediums

SPECIAL CONDITIONS


 

This role may require regular travel within the state and occasional interstate/overseas travel to attend conferences.   The role also requires the Business Development Manager to attend after hours functions from time to time, including some weekends.
